Articolo28 nasce dall’idea, dalla costanza e dall’impegno dei suoi fondatori a Milano nel 2000.
Si voleva creare un gruppo di uomini interessati all’aspetto military, al gioco di ruolo e anche all’aspetto fetish nell’ambito di quella che doveva essere, e ancora oggi continua ad essere, un’alternativa ai circuiti gay più comuni legati alla produzione di eventi sociali (saune, discoteche, serate, località marittime, ecc.).
Articolo28 vuole essere un gruppo di uomini che si vede per condividere qualche giorno insieme all’aperto nella natura, facendo sport, mettendo in pratica un gioco di ruolo military-festish con una gerarchia militare interna al gruppo.
Nel 2002 Articolo28 apre un proprio sito web ospitato su un server russo e l’anno dopo (2003) diventa un’associazione sportiva senza fini di lucro, deposita ufficialmente un proprio Statuto Associativo, stila un Regolamento Interno e un Regolamento Formale.
I soci fondatori erano in totale sette provenienti da Lombardia, Veneto e Svizzera.
Da questo momento l’associazione comincia ad essere nota nei circuiti gay, inizia ad apparire tra i social network che esistevano nei primi anni del 2000 e ad essere recensita sulla stampa specializzata gay con diversi articoli.
Nel 2004 la fondazione Articolo28 acquista un proprio dominio in Italia, ovvero www.articolo28.it.
In seguito alla formazione dello statuto Articolo28 diviene un’associazione sportiva governata democraticamente da un’Assemblea di Soci, che elegge un Consiglio Direttivo (CD) che rimane in carica per un triennio. Dal 2006, terminati i due successivi mandati del primo CD nominato alla fondazione, sono stati carica 5 ulteriori CD per altrettanti trienni. L'ultimo CD è stato eletto nel 2017 ed è attualmente in carica (2020). A causa della Pandemia del Covid-19 l'assemblea ha stabilito di mantenere lo stesso CD per un altro anno.
Nel 2014, dopo la prima impostazione grafica e formale del 2002, il sito internet dell’associazione è stato completamente ridisegnato secondo tecnologie più aggiornate. I testi sono stati rivisti e il sito si è arricchito di nuovi contenuti con un interfaccia molto più diretta ed agevole. Nel 2019 il sito è stato nuovamente ristrutturato con una grafica più moderna e maggiormente adattabile alle tecnologie più avanzate. Nel 2020, per il sempre maggior interesse dalle persone di un pubblico straniero, le pagine si arricchiscono dei testi in inglese.

Dal suo inizio l’associazione ha organizzato 35 campi tra Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardia, Marche, Toscana e Veneto in 16 diverse basi.
Ai campi hanno partecipato circa 860 persone.
Dal 2006 si è iniziato ad assegnare un numero di matricola a tutti e le reclute sono state 172. Dalla fondazione al 2006, le reclute passate sono state ulteriori 120. ( Dato aggiornato al 2017 )
Il numero di partecipanti ad ogni campo è variato tra le 18 e le 40 persone.
Oltre ai campi sono state organizzate anche diverse altre attività collaterali come trekking, corsi di sopravvivenza, fine settimana alle terme in Alto Adige, numerosi fine settimana in agriturismo, cene, ritrovi vari, serate in locali, ecc.
Nei suoi 20 anni di attività Articolo28 è cambiata molto come associazione, sono cambiate e si sono alternate le persone che l’hanno diretta, ma lo spirito con cui è nata è rimasto invariato.
Articolo28 resta tutt’oggi una diversa alternativa ai circuiti della vita gay più appariscente fatta di serate in locali, feste itineranti, saune, ecc. basati su principi di profitto economico.

Articolo28 was born in Milan in 2020, from the idea, perseverance and commitment of its founders.
We wanted to create a group of men interested in fetish military, role-playing and also in the context of what was and is, an alternative to the more common gay circuits such as saunas, clubs, parties, beaches, etc.
Articolo28 is a group of men who like to spend a few days together outdoors in the nature, playing sports, practicing a military fetish role-playing game with a military hierarchy in the group.
In 2002, Articolo28 opens its own website on a Russian server and the following year (2003) becomes a non-profit sports association, depositing its own Association Statute and drawing up an Internal Regulation and a Formal Regulation.
Seven founding members coming from Lombardy, Veneto and Switzerland.
From this moment onward the association starts to be known in gay circles and begins to appear in the first social networks and to be reviewed in gay magazines.
In 2004, the Articolo28 association has its own domain in Italy, www.Articolo28.it.
Following the drafting of the statute, Articolo28 becomes a Sports Association, democratically governed by a Members Assembly, which elects a Board of Directors (BD) remaining in office for three years. Since 2006, after the two successive mandates of the first BD have ended, 5 further BDs have been in office always for a three years period. The last BD was elected in 2017 and is currently in office (2020). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the last members assembly decided to keep the same BD for one more year.
In 2014, after the first graphic and formal layout in 2002, the association's website was completely redesigned according to the most up-to-date technologies. The texts have been revised and the site has been enriched with new contents and with a much more direct and easy interface. In 2019 the site was renovated once again with a modern graphics and adapted to the most advanced technologies. In 2020, due to the increasing interest from foreign people, the pages are enriched with English articles.
Some numbers by Article28
Since its beginning, the association has organized 35 camps in Italy: Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Marche, Tuscany, Veneto and has been in 16 different camp bases.
A total of about 860 people attended the camps.

In addition to the camps, various other activities have also been organized, such as trekking, survival courses, weekends at the spa in South Tyrol, some weekends in the farm, dinners, gatherings, evenings in clubs, etc.
In its 20 years of activity, Articolo28 has changed a lot. The people who directed it have changed and alternated, but the founders’ spirit has remained unchanged.
